No, I do not take insurance. You might have noticed in your search for a therapist that many therapists DO NOT accept insurance, and there are a few reasons for this.
First, it can limit your treatment by requiring a diagnosis and then setting parameters on the type of therapy and the number of sessions you will be allowed. Your health and wellness should be up to you, not an insurance company. Submitting forms to insurance companies can also cause confidentiality concerns. Insurance often require the submission of a diagnosis, your treatment plan, and progress information, which could allow your personal information to pass through the hands of several insurance employees.
If your insurance plan allows for OUT OF NETWORK reimbursement, I can provide you with a statement for you to submit to your insurance company. It will be important for you to contact your insurance company and ask questions about Out of Network coverage for mental health providers as it pertains to your plan. Questions to ask them include the percentage covered, deductible to meet, number of session approved, and personal information they will require, so that you can make an informed decision from the beginning.
Sessions are currently offered virtually, which gives families greater access and flexibility. You can meet with me from the comfort of your home—no commute, no stress. A Family Assessment can be in your home, if you live in a 60-mile radius of Bend, Oregon.
No. While I have extensive experience working with children and families affected by ADHD, I do not provide formal diagnoses. Diagnosing ADHD requires a comprehensive evaluation by a licensed psychologist or medical provider. However, our work together can help clarify whether your child’s challenges are consistent with ADHD, and I can guide you toward trusted resources if a formal evaluation is needed.
Yes. Many parents come to me because they suspect something is going on—difficulty with focus, meltdowns, emotional regulation, or daily routines that never seem to stick. You don’t need a diagnosis to get support. If parenting feels harder than it should, you're in the right place.
Good question—and the answer is: a bit of both. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I bring therapeutic training to our work. I also incorporate coaching strategies that offer practical, everyday tools for parenting a child or teen with ADHD. My approach is grounded, actionable, and emotionally supportive.
